Photocatalytic Oxygenation of Heterostilbenes—Batch versus Microflow Reactor

چکیده

On the basis of earlier results with furan and thiophene derivatives benzobicyclo[3.2.1]octadiene, photocatalytic oxygenation novel furo- thieno heterostilbenes water-soluble manganese(III) porphyrins offered suitable possibilities to study their reactivities reaction pathways depending on heteroatom catalyst charge. The experiments were carried out in two reactors types (batch microflow) investigate geometric effects. NMR spectroscopy, GC, UPLC/MS analyses applied for identification quantification products. As our indicated, 2-thienyl common p-tolyl groups starting compounds remained intact due stronger aromaticity. Hence, derivative underwent only at open-chain part molecule, rates its reactions much lower than those furyl analogue. less stable ring was easily oxygenated, products highest ratios 2-furanon derivatives. Epoxide formation occurred parts both substrates preferably by anionic catalyst. Nevertheless, conversion higher cationic porphyrin, according electrophilic attacks photogenerated Mn(V)=O species. Additionally, significantly faster microflow more favorable circumstances mass transfer, diffusion, light penetration.

Optimization of Photocatalytic Degradation of Phenol Using Simple Photocatalytic Reactor

The phenol photocatalytic degradation was investigated using heterogeneous catalyst Ag-doped ZnO nanowires under UV irradiation. Ag-ZnO nanowires were immobilized on borosilicate glass via a simple hydrothermal technique. Preliminary photodegradation studies were performed with Ag-ZnO nanowires at various concentrations of phenol (10 60 mg/L) at undiluted pH. After determination of the optimal ...

A Semi-Pilot Photocatalytic Rotating Reactor (RFR)

A four stage semi-pilot scale RFR reactor with ceramic disks as support for TiO2 modified 9 with silver particles was developed for the removal of organic pollutants. The design presented in 10 this article is an adaptation of the rotating biological reactors (RBR) and its coupling with the 11 modified catalyst provides additional advantages to designs where a catalyst in suspension is used. 12...

Development of a new photocatalytic reactor for water puri®cation

The puri®cation of water by heterogeneous photocatalysis is one of the most rapidly growing areas of interest to both research workers and water puri®cation plants. Recent literature has demonstrated on a laboratory scale the potential of this promising technology to completely destroy organic pollutants dissolved or dispersed in water into harmless substances. However, to date no viable pilot ...

Accelerating Pd-Catalyzed C—F Bond Formation: Use of a Microflow Packed-Bed Reactor

A flow process for Pd-catalyzed carbon fluorine bond formation is described. A microreactor using a packed-bed design allows for easy handling of large quantities of insoluble CsF with precise control over reaction times, efficient mixing, and the ability to safely handle elevated temperatures and pressures. A variety of aryl triflates, including heteroaryl ones, were converted to their corresp...

Continuous crafting of uniform colloidal nanocrystals using an inert-gas-driven microflow reactor.

Recent research has witnessed rapid advances in synthesis of nanocrystals, which has led to the development of a large variety of approaches for producing nanocrystals with controlled dimensions. However, most of these techniques lack the high-throughput production. Herein, we report on a viable and robust strategy based on an inert-gas-driven microflow reactor for continuous crafting of high-q...
